The college was established soon after the independence of Bangladesh. The ICT Department was established to contribute to the current government’s ICT sector. The objective of the department is to impart ICT education to the students easily and provide ICT related services in the college. There is one ICT skilled teacher in the department. There are 2 guest teachers under him.
Traditionally Tongi Government College is one of the notable institutions of the country. ICT department is one of the 14 departments of this college. The department is located on the third floor of the administrative building.
